RF Exposure / FCC Compliance Expert Witness
Job Summary: Provide expert testimony on behalf of wireless carriers on antenna site RF exposure compliance at evening municipal hearings in the New York City tri-state area, primarily in New Jersey.
Background: The FCC requires wireless carriers to demonstrate compliance with limits on continuous human exposure to RF fields that are emitted by antennas. Municipal boards, in considering construction approvals for wireless antenna sites, often require formal reports and expert testimony regarding FCC RF compliance. PTG develops antenna site RF compliance reports using standard FCC mathematical models to conservatively estimate potential exposure levels, and our on-staff professionals also serve as expert witnesses in the municipal hearings. The demand for expert witnesses at multiple municipal hearings on the same day sometimes exceeds the number of our on-staff RF compliance experts. Therefore, we have a need for part-time help -- the municipal hearings are all in the evening, typically starting as early as 7 pm and sometimes lasting until 11 or 11:30 pm. The geographic area of interest includes New Jersey, lower New York State and eastern Connecticut. PTG will provide all necessary training, including the RF engineering mathematics and the FCC exposure limits, as well as the professional delivery of testimony. (If necessary, all such training can be done in the evening.) At minimum, candidates must possess the following:
