Director - Systems IntegrationWill Gable has experience on both the carrier and consultant side of the wireless business, and he leads the Pinnacle Telecom Group’s wireless system integration practice. The scope of Will’s experience and expertise spans program and project management for wireless network build-outs, real estate and site acquisition, lease negotiations, zoning, construction management, as well as civil engineering and surveying. Will is well-versed in managing larger tier (multi-million dollar) projects for several Fortune 500 corporations encompassing the day-to-day operations, implementation of project schedules, formulation of bid proposals and project budget management. Recently, Will completed a telecom project for Motorola, where his responsibilities, as project director, included implementing the project’s scope-of-work, facilitating the project schedule, developing an installation checklist for quality control tracking, writing a Best Practices Guide, and performing day-to-day field management of the crews to ensure the project deadline was met.
Will joined us from Bechtel Telecommunications, where he coordinated the work of a number of site acquisition firms on behalf of AT&T Wireless and its northern New Jersey network build-out, involving more than 100 sites. Prior to that, while at the Northeastern Regional Headquarters of Sprint PCS Site Development Department, Will served as a Senior Property Specialist with departmental oversight responsibilities. At Sprint, he also managed the wireless site implementation for the Philadelphia Metro, Southern New Jersey, Central Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Northern Maryland areas. In that role, Will was responsible for site implementation budgets, on-schedule planning and design, timely municipal applications and approvals, construction and site activation. Will oversaw the concurrent implementation of as many as 400 sites – including the selection of site acquisition consultants, A/E firms, general contractors, and leasing and zoning attorneys. Will and his site development team were formally recognized by Sprint headquarters as the “Number One Market” in the nation with respect to the number of site leases executed, sites placed into construction, and sites turned on-air.
Earlier, as a project engineer for Edwards and Kelcey, Will led the civil engineering design of wireless sites for regional network build-outs by Sprint PCS, Verizon Wireless, and Nextel Communications. Will started his career in civil engineering and field surveying for Van Cleef Engineering and for Moretrench American Corp.
Will holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and has attained a Program Management Institute (PMI) certification degree affiliated with George Washington University.
